Frequently Asked Questions

Most residential carpet cleaning jobs take between 1 and 3 hours depending on the size of your home and the condition of the carpet. A standard 3-bedroom home with moderate soiling typically takes about 2 hours. Heavily soiled areas, pet stain treatment, or protectant application may add additional time.

Carpet bubbling can occur when the backing absorbs moisture during cleaning. This is temporary and typically resolves completely within 24 to 48 hours as the carpet dries. Good ventilation and air circulation speed the process. If bubbles persist after the carpet is fully dry, contact us and we will address the issue at no charge.

Carpets cleaned with our truck-mounted hot water extraction system typically dry within 6 to 12 hours. Humidity, ventilation, carpet thickness, and air flow all affect drying time. Running ceiling fans, opening windows, and using air conditioning can significantly speed up the process. You can walk on the carpet immediately after cleaning with clean socks or shoe covers.

We primarily use hot water extraction, commonly called steam cleaning. This is the cleaning method recommended by Shaw, Mohawk, Stainmaster, and virtually every major carpet manufacturer. Our truck-mounted equipment heats water above 200 degrees Fahrenheit and delivers over 400 PSI of cleaning power, far more effective than portable machines or rental units.

Carpet protector creates an invisible barrier around each fiber that resists soiling and staining. It gives you more time to blot spills before they become permanent stains, and it keeps your carpet looking cleaner longer between professional cleanings. Most new carpets come with factory-applied protector, but it wears off over time with foot traffic and vacuuming. Reapplying after professional cleaning restores that protection.

Our enzyme-based deodorizer neutralizes odors at the molecular level rather than masking them with fragrance. It breaks down the organic compounds that cause odors, such as pet urine, food spills, and body oils, so the smell is genuinely eliminated, not temporarily covered up. The treatment is applied during the cleaning process and continues working as the carpet dries.

Most upholstered furniture dries within 4 to 6 hours after our cleaning process. Our controlled-moisture method cleans thoroughly without over-wetting, so your furniture is typically ready to use the same day. Leather and synthetic fabrics dry faster than natural fibers like cotton and linen.

Yes, steam cleaning is one of several methods we use depending on your fabric type. Some fabrics respond best to hot water extraction, others require dry cleaning solvents, and some need a low-moisture approach. Our technicians test and identify your fabric before selecting the safest, most effective method.

We recommend professional upholstery cleaning every 12 to 18 months for most households. Homes with pets, children, or allergy sufferers should consider cleaning every 6 to 12 months. If your furniture gets heavy daily use, like a family room sofa, more frequent cleaning helps it look better and last longer.

For most homes, professional tile and grout cleaning every 12 to 18 months keeps floors looking their best. Kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways with heavy foot traffic may benefit from cleaning every 6 to 12 months. Regular mopping between professional cleanings helps maintain appearance, but only professional high-pressure extraction truly cleans porous grout lines.

Yes, grout sealing is available as an add-on service and is highly recommended. Professional sealing creates an invisible barrier that prevents dirt and stains from penetrating the porous grout surface. It makes routine cleaning significantly more effective and keeps your grout looking cleaner between professional visits. Our sealant typically lasts 2 to 3 years depending on traffic and use.

Yes, the pH-balanced cleaning solution we use is safe for all types of sealed hardwood floors including oak, maple, cherry, walnut, hickory, bamboo, and engineered wood. Our process is specifically designed for wood surfaces. We do not use steam, excessive moisture, or harsh chemicals that could damage your finish or warp the wood.

We recommend professional hardwood floor cleaning every 12 to 18 months for most homes. High-traffic areas, homes with pets, or households that do not remove shoes may benefit from cleaning every 6 to 12 months. Between professional cleanings, regular dust mopping and occasional damp mopping with a wood-safe cleaner keeps your floors in great condition.

We clean marble, granite, travertine, limestone, slate, flagstone, terrazzo, concrete, and other natural stone surfaces. Each stone type has unique properties that require specific cleaning approaches. Our technicians are trained to identify your stone and use the appropriate methods and products.

Yes, professional sealing is included in our stone cleaning service. We apply a penetrating sealant that fills the pores of your stone, creating an invisible barrier against future staining and moisture damage. This sealant is significantly more durable than consumer-grade products and typically lasts 2 to 5 years depending on the stone type and traffic.
